Scientists at Harvard University have found that the greatest enemy of slim body is potato and the best friend for all those who are trying to lose weight is one and only – cauliflower!

The researchers came to this conclusion by analyzing the eating habits of 130,000 Americans, who responded on every four years. During the two and a half decades of research respondents were providing information on how often they eat certain foods. The focus of this research was on fruits and vegetables, and fruits has proved twice as effective.

Blueberries are definitely the winner in the category of fat burners. Participants who have consumed blueberries every day, have lost about a kilogram on every four years.

Good choices are also apples, pears, strawberries, raisins and plums because they accelerate metabolism and can lead to a healthier life.

Of all kinds of vegetables the worst is potato. No matter whether you boil it, roast it, fry it or make mashed potatoes. It has the most calories and a very small amount of water, so it is better to replace it with the brown rice or whole grain bread. This does not mean that the potatoes have to be eliminated from the diet, but make sure to reduce your serving to about the size of a fist.
