We eat several times a day, every day. So it wouldn’t hurt to do something useful and healthy for our body every now and then. The best and the easiest things you can do is to take some herbs and spices and make yourself a nice and quick meal, or better yet a healthy drink.
There are plenty of options, but the one that we are talking about today is a few thousand years old beverage, the Ayurvedic specialty known as Golden milk.
It was named for its distinctive yellow color and some say that it is a golden casket full of health. The main ingredient, turmeric, is a tropical plant of the ginger family, Zyngibareaceae.

Golden milk recipe:
You will need: 1/4 cup of turmeric powder, 1/2 cup of water, 1 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper, 4 tablespoons of coconut oil, vanilla extract (optional), cinnamon (optional).
Put turmeric, water, coconut oil and white pepper in a pot and put it on a low heat. Stir until the water evaporates and until it resembles a paste-like consistency (it is possible that you’ll need a whisker in the beginning). When you’re done put it in a glass jar and refrigerate. This way you’ll have a turmeric paste whenever you need it, and it will remain edible for a long time. To make a golden milk, warm up a cup of milk (almond and rice milk are just as good) and add half a teaspoon of turmeric paste (more or less). Add the cinnamon, vanilla or honey to taste and you are ready to enjoy.
